Abstract: The experimental research on hydrogen production by water electrochemical splitting is presented in the article. In the study low temperature electrolytic unit with 26th% KOH liquid solution and small-scale photovoltaic module (PV-module) were used to convert solar energy into molecular hydrogen. Speeds and volumes of average monthly hydrogen production are defined for Kyiv insolation using experimental facilities. The method applied can be proposed to estimate hydrogen amount generated when combining the conventional electrolysis process and photovoltaic module for compensating the long term fluctuations of solar photovoltaics.

Abstract: Even though significant amount of researches has been done to develop LED lamp packages for improved performance especially in terms of output power, it is believed that no standard theories or guidelines have been established yet for designing LED lamp packages. In this paper, both the InGaN/Sapphire LED chip structure and its Epi-Up or Epi-Down chip-mounting scheme have been analyzed by using Monte Carlo photon simulation method. Based on the analysis, we have established guidelines for designing LED lamp packages.

Abstract: This paper has presented comprehensive modeling of direct driven five-phase PMSG based grid-connected wind turbines along with the control schemes of the interfacing converters. Wind speed estimation has been achieved based on measured rotor speed. Five-phase to three-phase interface power converter based back-to-back common dc-link converter has been used to achieve the system objectives. The machine side converter (MSC) is used to track the maximum power point at different wind speed. The grid side converter (GSC) uses a vector current controller to inject pure active power to the grid. The effectiveness of proposed control scheme is validated through extensive simulation results by using MATALB/SIMULINK.
